Design Problem:
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019. Like every Star Wars movie, fans awaited the new release with much anticipation. The task was to design a publicity campaign for the movie using Photoshop tools – masks, adjustment layers, and filters.
Design Process:
Rey is the protagonist and needed to feature prominently in the publicity. Most movies feature only male actors and women are given less importance and I decided that for this campaign to give Rey much-needed prominence. The publicity campaign clearly shows Rey as the lead figure and she features in all the promotion pieces – Posters, website, mobile app, merchandise - prominently. Blue-green tones set the color scheme for the campaign.
