Apple AirPods Pro
Design Problem:
Apple AirPods Pro was released in October 2019. It offers active noise cancellation, a new in-ear design, and water and dust resistance. The announcement came after the tech giant had already announced a refreshed version of its standard AirPods in March that come with the ability to activate Siri hands-free and an optional wireless charging case. The task was to design a fun, playful way to raise brand awareness of AirPod Pro without compromising on the aesthetics that Apple is known for while using famous paintings.
Design Process:
I had to find a way to juxtapose the brand-new technology product with century-old paintings. I selected five famous paintings that had the protagonist in an angle where I could subtly incorporate the product. The ad campaign had to have a very clean look and feel, in keeping with Apple’s brand image and design sensibilities. I created five pieces with the overall theme/ idea that could be easily adapted to print, OOH, digital media and combined with the tagline, ‘Experience the magic.’
